Al\u00e9m disso, diferentes tens\u00f5es e frequ\u00eancias de rede s\u00e3o utilizadas ao redor do mundo. Nos Estados Unidos, o American National Standards Institute (ANSI) define as classifica\u00e7\u00f5es de tens\u00e3o nominais para sistemas de energia el\u00e9trica de 60 Hz acima de 100 V.<\/p>\n<h2>Normas ANSI C84.1-2020<\/h2>\n<p>De acordo com a norma ANSI C84.1-2020, os n\u00edveis de tens\u00e3o s\u00e3o definidos da seguinte forma:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Baixa tens\u00e3o<\/strong>: de 240 a 600 V<\/li>\n<li><strong>M\u00e9dia tens\u00e3o<\/strong>: de 2.4 a 69 kV<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alta tens\u00e3o<\/strong>: de 115 kV a 230 kV<\/li>\n<li><strong>Extra-alta tens\u00e3o<\/strong>: de 345 kV a 765 kV<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ultra-alta tens\u00e3o<\/strong>: 1,100 kV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Padr\u00f5es Internacionais de Tens\u00e3o<\/h2>\n<p>Al\u00e9m dos padr\u00f5es ANSI, existem outras normativas internacionais como a British Standard BS 7671:2008 e as defini\u00e7\u00f5es da International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). A BS 7671:2008 define alta tens\u00e3o como qualquer diferen\u00e7a de tens\u00e3o superior a 1000 VAC ou 1500 VDC sem ondula\u00e7\u00e3o, ou qualquer diferen\u00e7a entre um condutor e a Terra acima de 600 VAC ou 900 VDC sem ondula\u00e7\u00e3o. J\u00e1 a IEC classifica como alta tens\u00e3o valores superiores a 1,000 V (AC) e 1,500 V (DC), baixa tens\u00e3o entre 50 &#8211; 1,000 V (AC) e 120 &#8211; 1,500 V (DC), e tens\u00e3o extra-baixa como inferior a 50 V (AC) e 120 V (DC).<\/p>\n<h2>Classifica\u00e7\u00e3o por Eletricistas<\/h2>\n<p>No contexto do trabalho di\u00e1rio, &#8220;alta tens\u00e3o&#8221; \u00e9 um termo usado para alertar pessoas n\u00e3o qualificadas sobre os riscos de eletricidade suficientes para causar dano ou morte. Para trabalhadores el\u00e9tricos, refere-se a um limiar de risco elevado. Equipamentos de alta tens\u00e3o desprotegidos devem ser separados de espa\u00e7os de trabalho onde pessoas n\u00e3o qualificadas estejam presentes, marcados com sinais de aviso, e protegidos por uma barreira trancada ou por uma pessoa de seguran\u00e7a. Tens\u00f5es acima de aproximadamente 50 volts podem causar quantidades perigosas de corrente em um ser humano que toque dois pontos de um circuito, portanto os padr\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a s\u00e3o mais restritivos.<\/p>\n<h2>Tens\u00f5es T\u00edpicas em Engenharia Automotiva<\/h2>\n<p>Na engenharia automotiva, alta tens\u00e3o \u00e9 definida como tens\u00e3o na faixa de 30 a 1000 VAC ou 60 a 1500 VDC. As tens\u00f5es t\u00edpicas para dispositivos dom\u00e9sticos variam desde 1.5V (DC) para baterias alcalinas n\u00e3o recarreg\u00e1veis (como pilhas AAA, AA e C), at\u00e9 3.8V (DC) para a maioria das baterias de smartphones.
