Fenomena ini pertama kali ditemukan oleh fisikawan Jerman Klaus von Klitzing pada tahun 1980. Efek Hall Kuantum berbeda dari Efek Hall klasik yang ditemukan lebih dahulu oleh Edwin Hall pada tahun 1879.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Efek Hall (Klasik)<\/b>: Ditemukan oleh Edwin Hall, efek ini menunjukkan bahwa ketika arus listrik melewati konduktor dalam medan magnet, perbedaan potensial (tegangan) akan muncul di sisi konduktor, yang tegak lurus baik terhadap arus maupun medan magnet. Persamaan yang menggambarkan Efek Hall Klasik adalah:\n<p>\\( V_H = \\frac{IB}{ned} \\)<\/p>\n<p>        di mana \\(V_H\\) adalah tegangan Hall, \\(I\\) adalah arus listrik, \\(B\\) adalah medan magnet, \\(n\\) adalah konsentrasi carrier (pembawa muatan), \\(e\\) adalah muatan elektron, dan \\(d\\) adalah ketebalan material.\n    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Aplikasi Praktis<\/h2>\n<p>Efek Hall Kuantum memiliki berbagai aplikasi praktis yang penting dalam banyak bidang teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan. Berikut adalah beberapa contoh penerapan Efek Hall Kuantum:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Standar Resistansi Kuantum<\/b>: Efek Hall Kuantum digunakan untuk mendefinisikan standar resistansi dengan akurasi yang sangat tinggi. Resistansi quantum unit, disebut juga konstanta von Klitzing (\\(R_K\\)), adalah:\n<p>\\( R_K = \\frac{h}{e^2} \\)<\/p>\n<p>        di mana \\(h\\) adalah konstanta Planck dan \\(e\\) adalah muatan elektron. Konstanta ini sekarang menjadi standar utama untuk mengukur resistansi di laboratorium metrologi di seluruh dunia.<\/li>\n<li><b>Sensor Hall Efek Kuantum<\/b>: Sensor berdasarkan Efek Hall Kuantum dapat digunakan untuk mengukur medan magnet dengan ketelitian tinggi. Ini berguna dalam berbagai aplikasi seperti deteksi partikel, sistem navigasi, dan pencitraan medis.<\/li>\n<li><b>Transistor Efek Medan (FET)<\/b>: Penggunaan Efek Hall Kuantum dalam desain transistor efek medan memberikan keandalan dan efisiensi energi yang lebih baik.
