Teknologi ini memanfaatkan sifat cahaya dan kecepatan yang tinggi dalam serat optik, menjadikannya sangat presisi dan andal dalam berbagai aplikasi.<\/p>\n<h2>Prinsip Kerja Gyroskop Serat Optik<\/h2>\n<p>Gyroskop serat optik (FOG &#8211; Fiber Optic Gyroscope) bekerja berdasarkan efek Sagnac, yaitu perubahan fase cahaya yang terjadi ketika ada rotasi. Berikut adalah prinsip-prinsip pokok bagaimana FOG bekerja:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cahaya dari sumber cahaya laser dipecah menjadi dua sinar dan dilewatkan melalui gulungan panjang serat optik dalam arah yang berlawanan (satu searah jarum jam dan satu berlawanan arah jarum jam).<\/li>\n<li>Saat perangkat berotasi, waktu tempuh sinar cahaya dalam arah rotasi bertambah sementara waktu tempuh sinar dalam arah sebaliknya berkurang.<\/li>\n<li>Perbedaan waktu tempuh kedua sinar ini mengakibatkan perbedaan fase yang dapat diukur saat kedua sinar digabungkan kembali.<\/li>\n<li>Perbedaan fase tersebut kemudian diubah menjadi sinyal listrik yang memberikan informasi tentang laju rotasi perangkat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Efek Sagnac ini dapat diformulasikan dengan persamaan:<\/p>\n<p>\\(\\Delta \\phi = \\frac{4 \\pi R \\Omega L}{c \\lambda}\\)<\/p>\n<p>dimana:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\\(\\Delta \\phi\\) = Perubahan fase<\/li>\n<li>R = Jari-jari loop serat optik<\/li>\n<li>\\(\\Omega\\) = Kecepatan sudut rotasi<\/li>\n<li>L = Panjang total serat optik<\/li>\n<li>c = Kecepatan cahaya dalam vakum<\/li>\n<li>\\(\\lambda\\) = Panjang gelombang cahaya<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Aplikasi Gyroskop Serat Optik<\/h2>\n<p>FOG memiliki berbagai aplikasi dalam teknologi modern berkat presisi dan ketahanan tinggi terhadap kebisingan dan getaran.
